About Nakorn Thai Sf

Tucked along Clement Street in San Francisco, Nakorn Thai Sf brings the kind of laid-back energy that makes people want to stay a little longer after the food arrives. The restaurant has the familiar charm of a neighborhood Thai spot, yet it still feels lively and modern, especially for anyone craving bold flavors without the long wait. From quick lunch stops to relaxed evening meals, the atmosphere stays casual and welcoming, making it easy to settle in whether dining solo or showing up with friends hungry for comforting Thai dishes. The mix of dine-in service, takeout, and no-contact delivery also makes it convenient for busy days when staying home sounds better than going out.

The menu leans heavily into comfort food while still giving plenty of lighter choices, which is one reason Nakorn Thai Sf stands out among Thai restaurants in San Francisco. Rich curries, stir-fried noodles, fragrant rice dishes, and spicy favorites arrive packed with flavor, yet the restaurant also pays attention to diners looking for healthier meals. Vegan options and vegetarian-friendly plates are easy to find, so groups with different eating styles can order without feeling limited. That balance between satisfying comfort food and fresh ingredients gives the menu broad appeal, especially for people who enjoy Thai cuisine with plenty of variety.

Another thing that makes Nakorn Thai Sf appealing is how approachable everything feels. The service style stays relaxed, the portions work well for either a quick bite or a full dinner, and the food comes out with the kind of homemade warmth people expect from a dependable local restaurant. Sitting at 639 Clement St in San Francisco, the restaurant fits naturally into the neighborhood dining scene, offering flavorful Thai meals that feel both convenient and memorable at the same time.

Nakorn Thai is an absolute gem! From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with a warm and welcoming ambience that instantly makes you feel at home – a solid 10/10. The atmosphere is inviting, with thoughtful decor and a calm, cozy vibe. The food quality is exceptional – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection, easily earning a 10/10. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and put genuine care into every meal. Cleanliness is also top-notch – the entire restaurant, from the dining area to the restrooms, was spotless. It’s clear the staff take pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment. Another 10/10. Nakorn Thai SF exceeded all expectations. It’s a place you’ll want to return to again and again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Thai cuisine served with excellence in every aspect. Absolutely better than Marnee Thai in Irving and 9th Avenue.

My go to place for Thai in the city. Small but pleasant seating area. They always have a friendly staff. The old school fried rice with the chicken cutlet on top is still a favorite of mine from when it was part of king of thai. Their pad see you and rad na is pretty yummy. Let them know how hot (spicy) you want it! They will accommodate you.

Craving satisfied. Got the Tom Yum Gai with vermicelli noodles. Perfect amount of sour with a mild kick. Service was great and the staff is super friendly. There is an open kitchen so everyone greets you as you walk in and thanks you as you leave . We went on a Saturday night for dinner and was able to find street parking very quickly. Will definitely be back.

We were welcomed by the nicest people in the area, they greeted us with smiles and showed us to our table. The food was also exceptional and fresh, our deep fried ground pork and crab roll, roasted duck red curry and cashew chicken came piping hot, and all the dishes were absolutely delicious! The price point is also quite good, as most dishes comes with rice or noodles. There are a total of 7 tables inside, so it is cozy and gives off a neighborhood vibe. They were all so great even greeting us as we left. We will definitely come back to try more.

Fantastic Thai food at a reasonable price, and very fast and friendly service. The Emerald Salmon dish was so tasty, and my kids LOVED the mango sticky rice dessert (the owner gave the kids extra, so nice of her). Wonderful little restaurant near Clement and 7th Ave., worth the visit

Honestly the best Thai food I’ve ever tasted. The customer service here was great, super friendly staff. Onto the food, we ordered two dishes: Shrimp pad Thai, this was the best pad Thai I’ve ate. The sauce wasn’t too strong and tasted authentic. I hoped it would have a little spice kick but it didn’t, but still delicious. Peanut curry with rice, this was a new dish to me but sounded appetizing. The curry was rich with flavour and I will definitely be returning here again soon !

Guys this is a review from a couple that lived in Bangkok. The only difference was that the dishes were not as spicy as they are in Bangkok but that is because in Bangkok there's a higher tolerance for spicy, other than that amazing dishes highly recommended. For all the plates you see we paid $107. AMAZING !!!!

This place is AMAZING! From the time you walk in the door everyone greets you authentically and that love transfers into the food. I can’t wait to go back. Price, portions, taste, service…. The sweet and sour shrimp flavor was REAL. Muy delicioso… voy a volver pronto.
